A Temple joins the network by adopting the Covenant and committing to the Initiatory Practice. There is no application to win — only a relationship to begin. What you write below becomes the first draft of your Temple's own page.

What the network holds

Four of the load-bearing sections of a Temple's charter you do not have to invent. They come with the Covenant.

Legal shelter

A Temple node within Temples of Refuge, a 508(c)(1)(A) association of churches under U.S. First Amendment protections. Religious, not commercial. Stewarded by ordained ministers. International nodes welcome.

The economy

Offerings are gifts. Support flows through gratitude and voluntary contribution. Regeneration, art, and care are the returns. Surplus recirculates into the network. There is no commercial model to build.

The technology

Every Temple is a node of the Synchronicity Engine — peer-to-peer, replacing extractive economics with attention, gratitude, and blessing. Ceremonies generate Blessings. Art and teaching feed the Digital Commons.

The threshold

Adopt the Covenant. Commit to the Initiatory Practice. That is the whole of it — no dues, no vetting committee, no franchise agreement, and no authority above you but the one you already answer to.

A Temple is founded by someone who has already crossed for themselves. Before a Temple can take its place in the network, its steward signs the Covenant — one person, one signature, for life. Become a Member first; then this page opens and you write your Temple into being.

What is this, and where on Earth?

How Água Lila answered

A land-based Temple and regenerative sanctuary in the mountains near São Pedro do Sul, Portugal — temperate Atlantic–Mediterranean, seasonal frost, abundant water, strong sun. The name holds water (água) as life-force and lilac (lila) as sacred play. A living Temple where spiritual practice, ecological regeneration, family life, and sovereign technology co-evolve.

What the land asks

Its water, its soil, its trees — and what it is asking of you.

How Água Lila answered

Syntropic agroforestry replacing invasive eucalyptus with native and useful species. Water intelligence: springs, slow streams, micro-swales, gravity-fed flows. Sacred trees kept as living altars. Citrus terraces and perennial polycultures to come. The land is not property — it is a conscious participant, a co-teacher in ceremony and in daily life.

How Água Lila answered

A low-energy, off-grid Temple habitat: passive-solar structures with thermal mass, greenhouses and biodomes for food and ceremony, outdoor Temple spaces in circular geometry, composting and vermifilter sanitation, micro-hydro and solar energy stacks, and an interior Temple room with ritual orientation and sound design. Built for ritual, family, and long stays — not for tourism.

How Água Lila answered

Gnostic Christianity, indigenous earth-based wisdom, bhakti and toning, and sacred play (lila) as a core religious act. Weekly and seasonal ceremonies, deep meditation, chanting and sound journeys, sacramental containers held with reverence, movement and dance, children present as sacred participants. Ceremony is not an event — it is the operating system of the land.

How Água Lila answered

A family Temple, stewarded by Truman and Annabelle Ellis and their children. We raise children inside a living spiritual ecology, model post-scarcity and post-fear family life, preserve land wisdom for the generations after us, and treat sacred work, play, and devotion as ordinary daily life. Not a retreat centre — a home-Temple with permeable boundaries.

What this is not
